Justice League of America, Vol. 1 – Issue 229

Above the Earth, a Martian warship attacks a US Space Shuttle, forcing Martian Manhunter and Firestorm to fly to its rescue and save the astronauts aboard. Meanwhile, the United Nations tell the Martians that they will not surrender, causing the Martians to launch an attack. One of their first targets is the JLA satellite while the nations of the Earth repel the invaders as well as they can. Firestorm, suspicious of the Manhunter from his arrival, sees him taking a shuttle craft from the satellite and attempts to stop him, thinking he has sold out his friends in the League. The Manhunter knocks him back and escapes.
