New Avengers / Transformers – Issue 3

Tony Stark has come to count on technology to beat his problems, but now robots of alien technology are determined to beat him! The charged up Decepticons have put the Autobots and Avengers into disarray, and a wounded Prime orders Ratchet to get inside the array and try to stop the war by neutralizing Doom’s Psycho-Prism. Cage and Rachet make their way in, to be confronted by Prowl. Prowl reminds Ratchet his mission is not to be delayed by the affairs of the humans, but Cage tells Prowl to stuff it because he’s going to find Spider-Man, orders or no. Prowl and Ratchet split up, and Cage and Ratchet find Spider-Man soon enough – a second before Megatron takes them out. Prowl fares a little better, making his way to the Psycho-Prism guarded by Ramjet. He thinks he’s accomplished his mission, only to be ambushed by Doom hiding in the shadows! Outside the tide turns as Iron Man is recharged by the Autobots. They stop the direct attack of the Decepticons before villains play their ace in the hole – Megatron reveals Doom’s new allegiance and tells the heroes to surrender or they will destroy their captured teammates. Realizing it’s a deal with no upside, the heroes resume their attack, which causes Megatron to turn on Doom, because Doom assured him the heroes would agree. Fully charged-up, Megatron plays his hand. He grabs Cage and walks out to smear all the heroes with his newfound firepower. Can Iron Man trust the technology in his armor? Is the armor superior enough to win the day again? Stay Tuned!
