When he comes to, he finds that Scorpio has taken his place, and that he himself has replaced the LMD which is to go through rigorous trials, designed to test its limits by exceeding them. However, he has strong suspicions of his own, and pursues them relentlessly until he uncovers the truth. “Today Earth Died!” – reprinted from “Strange Tales, Vol. 1 #168” – Nick Fury is called away from his desk to deal with the arrival of an alien life form, who comes to Earth promising everlasting peace. Fury works with him, only to learn that his true nature is far from the manner in which he presents himself.
