Having quit the League, Green Arrow is not pleased when he is forcibly beamed aboard the JLA satellite by Green Lantern in order to explain his decision. At the Star City library, the reformed villain Felix Faust discovers the secret journal of Nostromus and is possessed by the spirit of the ancient magician. He manages to project an astral image of himself aboard the JLA satellite and asks the League for their help as he is unable to prevent himself acting on Notromus’s commands. The League follow Faust’s directions and find the magician raising the corpse of Nostromus but before he can finish the incantation, Green Arrow shoots the book with a flare arrow, burning it and destroying Nostromus. Despite his actions, he still leaves the League and, it seems, Black Canary.
